ASC 007C 58,500 lbs Maximum Landing Weight / Approach Category C Provision
This service change installs a cockpit placard reducing the maximum landing weight limitation to 58,500 lbs for Category C instrument approach operations. Returning the aircraft to the higher maximum landing weight requires logbook entry.
As pilots we can always raise our instrument approach category, but it takes a mechanic to raise the maximum landing weight.
ASC 008 Maximum Zero Fuel Gross Weight 48,000 lbs.
If your useful payload exceeds 6,000 lbs, you are no longer eligible for 14 CFR 91 or 14 CFR 135, but you become a part of 14 CFR 125. By reducing your maximum zero fuel weight to 48,000 lbs, you are now legal under 14 CFR 91 and 135.
ASC 016A Maximum Takeoff Gross Weight Increase
This service change increases the maximum takeoff gross weight to 74,600 lbs and the maximum ramp weight to 75,0000 lbs.
ASC 045 Engine Electronic Controller Software Upgrade
This service change upgrades the EEC to T5.1 software which fixes several problems. The ASC is referenced several times in the AFM and having it removes the "Do Not Dispatch" requirement of several "Engine LTD" CAS messages.
ASC 058C Planeview Avionics Enhancement
This service change installs new Planeview software ("Certification Foxtrot") and is installed concurrently with ASC 908C.
ASC 059B Enhanced Navigation
This service change installs new Planeview software ("Certification Foxtrot Enhanced") to include:
- Circling approaches
- Temperature compensated VNAV
- SRN / LRN transition
- Automatic preview LRN / SRN
- WAAS / LPV approaches
- Peaks display
- Electronic terminal charts certified paperless
- RNP 0.1
- CPDLC - FANS 1/A (via ASC 071)
ASC 070 Planeview Avionics Enhancement
This service change provides hardware and software modifications necessary to support the data link recording function.
ASC 071 CPDLC - FANS 1/A
This service change activates the Controller Pilot Data Link Communication (CPDLC) functionality.
ASC 076 EEC Upgrade
This service change addresses the thrust reverser channel issue.
ASC 077 TCAS 7.1 Installation
This service change upgrades TCAS 2000 or 3000SP systems to TCAS 7.1.
ASC 906 Planeview Master Operating System Software Upgrade
This service change installs new Planeview software ("Certification Delta").
ASC 907 Planeview Master Operating System Software Upgrade (Synthetic Vision PFD)
This service change installs new Planeview software ("Certification Echo") and provides the platform for installing the Synthetic Vision - Primary Flight Display function.
ASC 908C Planeview Master Operating System Software Upgrade
This service change installs new Planeview software and addresses Static Source Error Correction (SSEC) and low fuel tank temperature issues. It is installed concurrently with ASC 058C.
The SSEC software update maintains stable and accurate indications of airspeed and altitude during high alpha maneuvers, eliminating false miscompares prior the the AOA vanes stabilizing at 80 knots indicated airspeed resulting in rejected takeoffs.
The low fuel tank temperature indication limits have been adjusted to address nuisance caution and warning indications.
G450 AFM 2-04-20 notes that without this ASC, AOA miscompares are possible under strong crosswind and gusty wind conditions on takeoff. G450 AFM 2-08-90 notes that with this ASC and earlier, if the HUD cue is used on the PFD, it will revert to single cue during a resolution advisory.
ASC 909 Planeview Master Operating System Software Upgrade
This service change installs new Planeview software and provides the platform required for the installation and operation of the data link recording function. It is installed concurrently with ASC 070.
ASC 910 Planeview Master Operating System Software Update
The new MOS provides an operating platform for Automatic Dependence Surveillance-Broadcast (ADS-B) Out functionality; incorporates multiple Flight Management System (FMS) fixes addressing software anomalies; and supports component changes due to obsolescence issues and to create a common baseline for future modifications..
