I joke that I am a professional photographer because my photos appear in books and magazines. But it is a joke. I am an amateur photographer who greatly admires photographers who know what they are doing.
Here are a few examples, including the lucky shots of my own. (Appropriately, at the end.) Click on the Photographer's name for more of their excellent work.
Oh yes, a special request. Do you take aviation related photos you are willing to share? I use these for this website and for publication in Business & Commercial Aviation magazine. These can be of airplanes, crewmembers, actions in cockpits and around airplanes, you name it. The higher the resolution the better. I just need the electrons and a short statement from you that you are the photographer and I have your permission to use them for the website, magazine, or my books. If I ever decide to use the photos, I will let you know. Thanks!
Matt Birch is an air traffic controller in London, England; but that is only part of his story. He is an excellent photographer of all things aviation. Do yourself a favor and check out his website: http://visualapproachimages.com.
Adrian Vargo is a C-17 avionics maintenance technician who travels the world with a camera and gives us civilians a rare glimpse behind the airlifter's cockpit.
Oliver Hellenbach is the Chief Pilot for a major corporate operator in Asia and an accomplished Gulfstream pilot. You will recognize this photo if you have a copy of the International Operations Flight Manual. He also designed the Code7700 logo.
Even a blind dog finds a bone, now and then. Here are a few of mine.
